SAMS stands for Students Academic Management System. It has two components e-Admission & e-Administration. SAMS presently supports online admission for Higher Secondary, Degree, Post-graduations, ITI, Diploma, PDIS, Teacher Education, Physical Education and correspondence institutions.
E-Admission is nothing but online admission carried out for various courses (as answered in the ques-1) of Odisha. The detailed process of admission is explained in the information brochure.

The Common Application Form (CAF) can be accessed by visiting the website
https://imed.samsodisha.gov.in/Managestudent/Userregistration.aspxlong with the Information brochure which guides you to apply the CAF correctly.
Yes, you need to apply online through the CAF following the guidelines of the information brochure, after submitting the CAF take print copies of the Applicant CAF and Keep it with you for further Process at the Time of Admission with the required documents.

An eligible applicant can apply for 3 year Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. course.

Yes, PwD with Temporary Disability with 40% and above are eligible to get admission under PwD reservation.
Yes, Candidates will be given a single chance with otp based for editing CAF after submission of CAF within stipulated period of time as provided in the timelines.
CAF fees and Admission fees will be collected through online by SAMS.
Applicant can provide the choice locking during applying the CAF, Where he/she can give preference of minimum 1 choice and maximum 4 choices.
An applicant can apply ONLINE for a minimum of One option and maximum Four numbers of options.
No. The selection will be conducted on the basis of merit & reservations. Applicants will be selected against any one option only.
The merit lists are published on the scheduled date & time at website www.samsodisha.gov.in for information of public. You will also be intimated your status exclusively through SMS, Email and Whatsapp (if mobile number, email address and whatsapp is provided in the CAF) about the selection status. You can also download the intimation letter from your student login.
Applicants after selection, if satisfied with the seat allotted to them. They can choose this option to do the online payment and further they can download the Intimation letter.
After selection, if an applicant has accepted the allotted seat and also wishes for a better Institution in their higher preferences, they can choose this option.
No, you will not get any Intimation letter.
List of the documents required is given in the Intimation Letter. Arrange all the requisites for admission such as original certificates for verification, photo, & report to the Principal of the destination college on the scheduled date & time.
First you need to apply CAF having PWD certificate with UDID no. If you are selected then download a provisional intimation letter for reporting of admission at the selected institution with required documents.
PwD candidates (Both for Temporary & Permanent, 40% and above) shall be verified by the Institutions on the basis of UDID number issued by the SSEPD Department at the time of reporting for admission. The concerned principal will refer the case for verification to the nearest Medical assessment Board where the institution is located if only found UDID certificate is fak

Whenever a seat is allocated, you have to compulsorily choose any of the option – Freeze or Slide – carefully. After selecting any of these options mentioned as per your interest, you will have to pay the admission fees shown in the screen
Answer: Once you are allocated a seat of higher preference based on your slide option, your previous allotted seat from the earlier round will be automatically cancelled and you cannot get the previously allotted seat.
I got allocated a seat of my preference in my choice list in a certain round and I am satisfied about the allotted seat
Answer: If you are satisfied with the allotted seat and do not wish to participate in further rounds of selection process, you need to choose the option “Freeze” and pay the displayed admission fees online. After successful online payment, you need to report the allotted HEI along with the online generated Intimation letter.
Answer: You can change the option to slide if you choose the option ‘Freeze’ while accepting the allocated seat only once through OTP validation.
Answer: Yes, if you choose the option ‘Freeze’ for the allotted seat by paying the admission fees online, you need to report immediately at the allotted HEI for admission. Otherwise, the same seat will be allocated to another applicant in the subsequent round.
Answer: You MUST pay the admission fees. Otherwise, your allocated seat will be cancelled and you will no longer be able to participate in the subsequent rounds of seat allocation process (if any) if you do not pay the admission fees.
Amount will be refunded to your Bank account mentioned in Common Application Form after the closure of admission for the academic year-2024-25.
